EfS takes learning beyond the classroom and into the living environment.
"Structured around environmental topics, our Education for Sustainability (EfS) program is designed to encourage students to actively participate in learning about ecological systems, and how the decisions they make, affect their living environment."
Under EfS program TAS provides educators with the knowledge of sustainable issues sufficient to educate students about what is sustainable, rather than what is not sustainable.
We provide educators with:
- Training and professional development around sustainable
issues and what teaching sustainability really means. - Instructional development to better integrate, science, math,
technology, and other educational content around sustainable
topics. - Access to a network of sustainability experts, educators and
environmentalists. - Opportunities to inspire students to think more creatively and
expand their imagination. - Opportunities to collaborate with community leaders and
organizations in educating students' about their ability to
impact and improve the living environment.
