The abstract nature of teaching academics does little to stimulate the minds of today's student, who are increasingly disinterested in learning through traditional, unsophisticated approaches. This is evident given the fact that most students dropout or perform poorly because they don't understand how academics are relevant to their lives to achieve success.
Under Authentic Learning TAS focuses on improving educators' instructional competencies and strategies to substantially improve students' performance in academics and CTE.
We provide educators with:
- Training and professional development to develop effective
interdisciplinary learning practices between academic staff and
technical instructors. - Instructional support and lesson plan development to improve
project-based learning and collaborative teaching. - Best practices on effective ways to integrate academics, CTE
and the external realities of students and staff to broaden the
views and understanding of classroom learners. - Access to our network of business partners and skilled professionals
to allow students to gain requisite internships and work-study experience. - Opportunities to collaborate with community leaders and organizations
in educating students about their ability to impact and improve the living
environment. - Fundamental ways to encourage student classroom participation, teamwork
and peer learning. - Basics of E3.0 educational solutions to inspire students' creative use
of technology in completing assignments.
